TL-100 Ultracentrifuge

The Beckman Optima™ TL 100 is a state-of-the-art ultracentrifuge. With its reliable and flexible performance, the TL 100 system meets the full-service centrifugal needs of hundreds of clinical laboratories all over the world as it can reach speeds up to 100,000 rpm and generate a force of 543,000 x g.

The first of its kind in the world, the Beckman Optima™ TL 100 ultracentrifuge uses a vacuum-encased induction drive to eliminate high-speed vacuum seal. The feature also reduces heat output to 6150 Btu per hour and noise output to less than 60dB. Additionally, the friction reduction system of this Optima™ centrifuge minimizes heat output and improves the life of the motor.

The Beckman TL 100 centrifuge is easy to set up, and requires relatively low maintenance. Along with this, the Beckman centrifuge also has the ability to display diagnostic issues or errors, and store up to 10 user programs. Other convenient features and capabilities of the Beckman Optima™ ultracentrifuge include thermoelectric refrigeration, microprocessor control, smooth acceleration/deceleration, air-cooled drive, and imbalance tolerant drive.

PX1 PCR Plate Sealer

The PX1 PCR plate sealer provides consistent and uniform sealing across an entire microplate. This semiautomated heat sealer is ready to seal in less than 3 minutes. The PX1 sealer removes human variability from plate sealing and minimizes sample evaporation from the PCR workflow. This versatile instrument is compatible with a variety of heat-sealing films and foils and a wide range of PCR plates.

The PX1 PCR plate sealer features an intuitive touch-screen user interface. The thermal sealing process is simplified by allowing sealing temperature and time to be modified with the touch of a button.

Key Features and Benefits

  • Fast startup time — avoid delaying an experiment while the sealer warms up
  • Extremely intuitive — save time programming the instrument
  • Small footprint — accommodates crowded laboratory benches
  • Quickly access sealing protocols — save time by easily using stored protocols

OT-2 Robot

Need an open source programmable robot? The OT-2 from Opentrons is an easy-to-use pipetting robot that uses integrated electronic pipettes to transfer liquids and run automated moderate to high-throughout experiments in 96 well plates.

NanoDrop

Measure the concentration and purity of your DNA, RNA or protein samples using the Thermo Scientific NanoDrop spectrophotometer and be confident in your downstream application results. Using only 1 µL, you can obtain your results in less than 15 seconds from sample pipetting to wiping the pedestal clean. > No dilutions required, even for highly concentrated samples >Patented sample retention system automatically optimizes pathlength to accommodate low and high concentrations (2 to 15,000 ng/µL dsDNA) >Only requires 0.5 – 2 µL of your sample >Calculates sample purity ratios (260/280 nm and 260/230 nm) >Pre-configured methods for DNA, Protein A280, Microarray, Protein and Labels, Pierce 660, Bradford, BCA, and Lowry >Fast measurement time of less than 5 seconds, 10 -15 seconds from sample pipette to wipe >User friendly software that includes custom methods and data export capabilities

Fluorometer

Qubit™ fluorometric quantitation comprises the easy-to-use Qubit™ Fluorometer and sensitive, specific Qubit™ quantitation assays. Based on the detection of target-specific fluorescence, this integrated system is more sensitive than UV absorbance–based quantification, making it ideal for precious samples and demanding applications.

Bioanalyzer

Agilent 2100 bioanalyzer is an analysis tool capable of handling nucleic acids, proteins and cells on one platform. When combined with an Agilent kit, this lab-on-a-chip technology can expedite conventional biochemical analysis. One of the benefits the Agilent 2100 bioanalyzer has over conventional bioanalytical methods is the elimination of time consuming procedures. Lab-on-a-Chip technology simplifies the process of data gathering and analysis down to three quick and easy steps: Load sample, run analysis, view data. The Agilent 2100 bioanalyzer utilizes micro-fabricated chips with up to 12-wells requiring minimum sample consumption, in the low μl-range. Prepackaged reagents included with the chip kits help to speed up the entire process.
